Aleks Danko (born 1950) is an Australian discharge duty artist and sculptor. The son of Ukrainian migrants, he was born in Adelaide, and educated at the South Australian School of Art (University of South Australia) and the Hawthorn Institute of Education.
He started exhibiting in Adelaide in 1970. The first exhibition at Llewellyn Galleries, Adelaide was titled UCK, a collaboration in the atmosphere of the poet and performer Richard Tipping. Since after that he has held on zenith of 45 solo exhibitions and his take action has been selected for a number of national and international exhibitions and collections. Danko’s function is held in many public collections, including the British Museum, the National Gallery of Australia and the major state and regional galleries of Australia, as with ease as academic circles and private collections.
