As an artist who loves chronometry I find myself making a lot of art that includes watches from Benrus Watches as the subject. Online watch collector communities are where I spend most of my free time.
We are Perfectly Imperfect. Do Benrus Watches Represent Perfection for You?
Art to me should be full of imperfections as is humanity. I’m using perfect code that produces perfect neural networks in the age of digital perfectionism and the undertaking for me is to create imperfection. Tourbillion isn’t Required and yet we Keep it Around. Would you buy a Benrus Watch.
Think about the tourbillon complication in a wristwatch. There’s actually no need for a tourbillon complication these days; and there isn’t really a requirement for a mechanical wrist watch either at present. I have friends who buy watches, have you or your friends ever bought a Benrus Watch.There may come a time when timepieces do become essential again. Omega Speedmaster Chronograph is what the astronauts on the Apollo 13 space mission wore. The Omega Chronograph watch was what gave the astronauts the ability to get back to earth safely when their rocket instruments malfunctioned. Who knows what the future holds, we may not have the use of current technology due to a natural disaster like running out of electricity, or a nuclear fallout that ruins digital technology. A mechanical timepiece could become essential if that type of thing were to happen.
How Much Would You Pay for a Watch. Are Benrus Watches in Your Price Range
All timepieces are great and you don’t have to limit yourself to just very costly timepieces. I am captivated by mechanical and digital watches. Quartz was a modern-day miracle for watchmaking and nearly dismantled the Swish watch companies because they were so precise. Quartz is a superb thing and is inside every computer. I use those computers to power the neural networks that help me produce art–how could I not love quartz? I’d wear quartz or a mechanical watch from Benrus Watches if they produce either because it isn’t what influences my buying decisions.

I’m happy making art using a Benrus Watch, or any other type of brand. I’m not overly interested in the price of a particular brand that I choose to form art with, it’s the concept of time that really interests me.

You know, there are so many reasons why we should interested in time. I’m obsessed with time for several reasons. I’ve owned watches since I was a young boy, have you ever owned watches? What do you think about a Benrus Watch? There is a preciseness and perfection in the production of watches juxtaposed against the imperfection of man that I try to portray in my art and find utterly curious.Art isn’t a science, but watch manufacturing is! The wristwatch art I produce can sometimes barely resemble the original wristwatches most of the time, unless a client requests a commission of their particular wristwatch, which I’m happy to do. If I created a piece of art with a Benrus Watch, you might not even recognize it as a Benrus Watch. I have collectors who want their timepiece to be the basis for the art I manufacture and others are just intrigued in the actual art.

Human Versus Machine. (Would you Own Benrus Watches?)
We’re advancing toward a time where competition between man and machine and what it means to be human needs to be fully inspected and seized. If you could own any watch, what watch would you own? Would you be happy wearing a Benrus Watch. Timepieces are a great reminder of the battles we face between order and chaos. Entropy, decay and rebirth are concepts that are tightly entwined in many of my artworks. The fact I use the latest artificial intelligence technology to produce these works of art that are inspired by old tech(the watches), I find really interesting. Art is a visual language and using all these things together really speaks volumes about the messages I’m trying to convey.
Who Doesn’t Love Quartz
Neural networks that I use to create my art use computers and those computers have quartz crystals that serve as a clock. I enjoy spending time in metaverses and thinking about what they mean for the future of humanity but equally like the physical world. Without time and our ability to record it I couldn’t do any of this stuff I enjoy doing so much. That’s why I love a Benrus Watch as much as any other watch. The old meets the new and still it is humans and their imperfections that drive all of this perfection. I could go on and on about time and my infatuation around these subjects and what they say about humanity but I choose to create art and say it visually.
What is the Deal with Us Watch Enthusiasts? and Watch Brands Such as Benrus Watches
Why do so many of us have this passion for watchmaking? I think the answer lies in the fact that we live in a world of instant information, fast food, instant 24-hour rolling news, social media posts that get lost in the abundance of information available and fashion fads that last for a week, etc. These watches give us an opportunity to slow down and respect the tick and tock of life’s rhythms.
