Glenn Ligon (born 1960, pronounced Lie-gōne) is an American conceptual performer whose perform explores race, language, desire, sexuality, and identity. Based in New York City, Ligon engages in intertextuality with additional works from the visual arts, literature, and history, as competently as his own life. He is noted as one of the originators of the term Post-Blackness.
