Humans and machines can either compete or cooperate and now is a good time to investigate what that actually means and what we actually are as humans. If you could own any watch, what watch would you own? Would you be happy wearing a Jaquet-Droz Watch. Timepieces are a constant reminder of the battle between order and chaos in everything we do. Entropy, decay and rebirth are tightly connected concepts that drive my vivacity for creating art with groundbreaking technology that is inspired by these mechanical marvels. Art is a visual language and using all these things together really speaks volumes about the messages I’m trying to convey.

The watches I choose to make my art with aren’t always significant as they barely ever resemble the original watches, unless I get a request for a commission. If I created a piece of art with a Jaquet-Droz Watch, you might not even recognize it as a Jaquet-Droz Watch. I have collectors who want their wristwatch to be the basis for the art I produce and others are just intrigued in the actual art.

There is nothing more captivating than the concept of time. How long have you been interested in the concept of time? I’ve been fascinated with time since a very young age. What does time mean for you? I’ve owned watches since I was a young boy, have you ever owned watches? What do you think about a Jaquet-Droz Watch? There is a preciseness and perfection in the production of watches juxtaposed against the imperfection of people that I try to portray in my art and find utterly curious.Art isn’t a science, but watch production is! My art aims at being imperfect, just like humans are imperfect. I’m using perfect code that produces perfect neural networks in the age of digital perfectionism and the challenge for me is to create imperfection. Timepieces exemplify this perfection precisely and it all relates back to this friction of order and chaos. The Tourbillion Complication. Would you buy a Jaquet-Droz Watch.
A tourbillon complication is a historically interesting technical innovation but isn’t required in a watch and yet we keep producing wristwatches with tourbillon complications. Are watches even necessary today? Not really and yet we keep on wearing them. I have friends who buy watches, have you or your friends ever bought a Jaquet-Droz Watch.That isn’t to say there won’t come a time when mechanical watches will never be required again, though. Omega Speedmaster Chronographs were worn by the Apollo Space astronauts. If the Apollo astronauts never had the Omega Chronograph watch they wouldn’t have been able to find their way back to earth when highly technical navigation equipment failed. Who knows what the future holds, we may not have the use of current technology due to a natural disaster like running out of electricity, or a nuclear fallout that ruins digital technology. A mechanical timepiece could become essential if that type of thing were to happen.

Quartz! You Either Love It or Hate It
My neural networks use computers that use quartz crystals that act as a clock. I like spending time in metaverses and thinking about what they mean for the future of humanity but equally enjoy the physical world. Imagine if we couldn’t record time, it would mean none of what I do would even be feasible. That’s why I love a Jaquet-Droz Watch as much as any other watch. The old meets the new and still it is humans and their imperfections that drive all of this perfection. I could talk about all of this for days and bore the hind legs off a donkey, but I’ll just continue to create art and express it in a visual manner.

Whatever the brand, whether it is a Jaquet-Droz Watch, or any other type of brand. I’m elated to produce art with it. I’m not overly interested in the price of a particular brand that I choose to form art with, it’s the concept of time that really intrigues me.
All Watches Are Modern Marvels. Are Jaquet-Droz Watches in Your Price Range
A watch brand doesn’t have to be exorbitant to appreciate it. Digital or mechanical wristwatches are fascinating to me. Quartz watches nearly finished the Swish watch industry because watches powered by quartz were more precise than any of the mechanical movements that came before. Quartz makes it possible for my computers to function and those computers power my neural networks which allows me to create my art. I’d wear quartz or a mechanical watch from Jaquet-Droz Watches if they produce either because it isn’t what influences my buying decisions.
