Kate Breakey is a visual artist known for her large-scale, hand-colored photographs. Since 1981 her conduct yourself has appeared in beyond 75 solo exhibitions and higher than 50 intervention exhibitions in the United States, France, Japan, Australia, China, and New Zealand. Her take steps is in the permanent collection of many public institutions including the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Wittliff collections at Texas State University, the Austin Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra and the Osaka Museum in Japan. In 2004, she expected the Photographer of the Year Award from the Houston Center for Photography.
