Maynard Dixon (January 24, 1875 – November 11, 1946) was an American artist whose body of piece of legislation focused on the American West. He was married for a period to American photographer Dorothea Lange.

Together next Fernand Lungren (1857–1932), another California (i.e. Santa Barbara, California) based artist, Maynard Dixon is considered one of the finest artists having dedicated most of their art upon the U.S. southwestern cultures and landscapes at the grow less of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century.
