Philipp Otto Runge (German: [ˈʁʊŋə]; 23 July 1777, Wolgast – 2 December 1810, Hamburg) was a Romantic German painter and draughtsman. Although he made a late start to his career and died young, he is considered accompanied by the best German Romantic painters.
