The wristwatches I choose to form my art with aren’t always significant as they barely ever look like the original timepieces, unless I get a request for a commission. If I created a piece of art with a Certina Watch, you might not even recognize it as a Certina Watch. Some collectors want their art to represent the timepieces they own and others just like the art, regardless of whether it resembles an actual watch.
What Does it Mean to be Human in a World of Intelligent Machines. (Would you Own Certina Watches?)
We’re proceeding toward a time where competition between man and machine and what it means to be human needs to be fully inspected and adopted. If you could own any watch, what watch would you own? Would you be happy wearing a Certina Watch. Wristwatches are a unceasing reminder of the battle between order and chaos in everything we do. Entropy, decay and reinvention are concepts that play a noteworthy role in my artworks. I love using groundbreaking AI technology to create these works of art and the timepieces that inspire them. Art is a visual language and using all these things together really speaks volumes about the messages I’m trying to convey.

You know, there are so many reasons why we should interested in time. How long have you been interested in the concept of time? I’ve been obsessed with time since a very young age. What does time mean for you? I’ve owned watches since I was a young boy, have you ever owned watches? What do you think about a Certina Watch? The manufacturing processes involved in watchmaking are so precise and are entirely at odds with what I try to produce in my art. Humanity is flawed and often imprecise and yet we are still able to create precision instruments like wristwatches. I enjoy playing with this concept in my art.
All Watches Are Modern Marvels. Are Certina Watches in Your Price Range
Are you interested in all types of watch brands and not just the very pricey types. I am intrigued by mechanical and digital timepieces. Quartz watches are often thought of as inferior in some people’s minds but did you know that quartz watches nearly obliterated the Swish watch manufacturers because they were so accurate and cheap to produce? Quartz is a superb thing and is inside every computer. I use those computers to power the neural networks that help me produce art–how could I not love quartz? I’d wear quartz or a mechanical watch from Certina Watches if they produce either because it isn’t what influences my buying decisions.

I am happy creating art with a Certina Watch, or any other type of timepiece brand. The price of a wristwatch doesn’t factor in what I choose to produce art with because it is the concept of time that attracts me.

My art aims at being imperfect, just like humans are imperfect. It’s a real pursuit to create imperfection when I’m using perfect code to create perfect artificial intelligence in a perfect world of digital perfection. Does anything portray this conflict between perfection better than wristwatches and my art? Wristwatches portray perfection and my art is playing with the concept between this perfection and imperfection. Quartz is a Modern Miracle
The computers we use every day and which powers my artificial intelligence networks use chips which contain a quartz crystal that acts as a clock. I’m interested in exploring metaverses whilst also appreciating the real world. Without time and our ability to record it I couldn’t do any of this stuff I enjoy doing so much. That’s why I love a Certina Watch as much as any other watch. The old and the new constantly clash and still it is the imperfection of humanity that allows us to create all of the perfection we are surrounded by. I could talk about all of this for days and bore the hind legs off a donkey, but I’ll just continue to create art and express it in a visual manner.
Do we Need a Watch? Would you buy a Certina Watch.
A tourbillon complication is a historically interesting technical innovation but isn’t needed in a watch and yet we keep producing watches with tourbillon complications. Are timepieces even necessary today? Not really and yet we keep on wearing them. I have friends who buy watches, have you or your friends ever bought a Certina Watch.There may come a time when timepieces are one of the only things we can rely on. Omega Speedmaster Chronograph is what the astronauts on the Apollo 13 space mission wore. Did you know that it was the Omega Chronograph that helped astronauts safely navigate back to earth when their crippled spacecraft and much of its critical equipment lost functionality? Who knows whether we’ll have electricity shortages, or some other natural disasters that render the technology – that we currently rely on – useless in the future.

Why do many of us love horometry? I think the answer lies in the fact that we live in a world of instant information, fast food, instant 24-hour rolling news, social media posts that get lost in the abundance of information available and fashion fads that last for a week, etc. The wristwatches allow us to value time and slow down a little.
