Why Nixon Watches Inspire My Art

Why Art and Watches such as Nixon Watches

I love horology and time is such a captivating topic for me, so it is natural that my art subjects include many timepieces, such as Nixon Watches. The internet groups for watch hobbyists have always been a great place to hang around and get stimulated.

Quartz! You Either Love It or Hate It

Quartz chips inside computers serve as a clock which powers my neural networks. I’m fascinated by metaverses and what they can potentially mean for the future of humanity but also appreciate the physical world. None of this would be attainable without time and our ability to record it. That’s why I love a Nixon Watch as much as any other watch. The old meets the new and still it is humans and their imperfections that drive all of this perfection. I could go on and on about time and my enthusiasm around these subjects and what they say about humanity but I choose to create art and say it visually.

The Perfect Expression of Humanity is Imperfection. Do Nixon Watches Represent Perfection for You?

My art tries to be imperfect, just like humans are imperfect. Imagine trying to create imperfect art in a world where everything I use is perfect! From the code that creates the neural networks to the perfectionism in a digital world and the temptation to create perfection, that’s the real challenge. Watches really are perfection and so I find it a useful subject to express – through visual language – the conflict between order and chaos that rages on. Do you consider a Nixon Watch to represent perfection, or would you choose some other watch? Let me know in the comments.

Timekeeping is Worth Appreciating. Nixon Watches Might be Right for You

Not everyone wants to spend a million dollars on a watch, but everyone can afford a wristwatch. They all tell the time and that is something special. What price range would you consider when buying a watch? Would a Nixon Watch fit the bill for you?

Time is Valuable. Do you Like My Art about Nixon Watches

It doesn’t matter to me if I use a Nixon Watch, or any other type of watch brand. I’m not overly interested in the price of a particular brand that I choose to form art with, it’s the concept of time that really interests me.

It Matters Not. Would you Wear Nixon Watches

The watch art I produce is a starting point for my art and sometimes doesn’t even look like the original wristwatches, unless a collector specifically asks for a commission piece. If I created a piece of art with a Nixon Watch, you might not even recognize it as a Nixon Watch. Some collectors want their art to represent the timepieces they own and others just love the art, regardless of whether it resembles an actual watch.

Man and Machine. (Would you Own Nixon Watches?)

Man and machine are starting to have to compete with each other more and more and now is a good time to inspect and assert our humanity. If you could own any watch, what watch would you own? Would you be happy wearing a Nixon Watch. Timepieces remind us of this battle between chaos and order. Entropy, decay, death and rebirth are concepts that get me enthused when creating art with state-of-the-art technology like neural networks that are inspired by these wonderful timepieces. Art is a visual language and using all these things together really speaks volumes about the messages I’m trying to convey.

Do we Need a Watch? Would you buy a Nixon Watch.

A tourbillon complication is a historically interesting technical innovation but isn’t needed in a watch and yet we keep producing wristwatches with tourbillon complications. Are wristwatches even necessary today? Not really and yet we keep on wearing them. I have friends who buy watches, have you or your friends ever bought a Nixon Watch. There may come a time when wristwatches do become essential again. Omega Speedmaster Chronograph is what the astronauts on the Apollo 13 space mission wore. Did you know that it was the Omega Chronograph that helped astronauts safely navigate back to earth when their crippled spacecraft and much of its critical equipment lost functionality? Who knows what the future holds, we may not have the use of current technology due to a natural disaster like running out of electricity, or a nuclear fallout that ruins digital technology. A mechanical watch could become essential if that type of thing were to happen.

Obsessed with Time and Brands like Nixon Watches

There are multiple reasons to be completely and utterly captivated with time. I’m captivated with time for several reasons. I’ve owned watches since I was a young boy, have you ever owned watches? What do you think about a Nixon Watch? I love the juxtaposition of the precision involved in the crafting of quality mechanical timepieces and the precise nature of making of digital watches, against the chaotic freedom and human expressionism found in my art.Art isn’t a science, but watch manufacturing is! Don’t you just love the conflict between these two things.

All Watches Are Modern Marvels. Are Nixon Watches in Your Price Range

A watch brand doesn’t have to be excessively priced to appreciate it. I am interested in both mechanical and digital wristwatches. Quartz watches are often thought of as inferior in some people’s minds but did you know that quartz watches nearly demolished the Swish watch manufacturers because they were so accurate and cheap to produce? Quartz is a wonderful thing and is inside every computer. I use those computers to power the neural networks that help me produce art–how could I not love quartz? I’d wear quartz or a mechanical watch from Nixon Watches if they produce either because it isn’t what influences my buying decisions.

The Past and the Present

Some things should probably be historical and yet we keep them around even though their usefulness has become unwarranted in the modern era–that’s very interesting.

There Must be a Reason for our Obsession with Chronometry and Watch Brands Such as Nixon Watches

Why do so many of us have this infatuation for horology? I think the answer lies in the fact that we live in a world of instant information, fast food, instant 24-hour rolling news, social media posts that get lost in the abundance of information available and fashion fads that last for a week, etc. These wristwatches are a great reminder of the need to slow down and appreciate life. Do you own any watches? Leave a comment below to let me know what watches you own, especially if you own a Nixon Watch. Art is an expressive means of characterizing humanity and what we’re capable of. It allows us to break the chains of time and highlights to us what we’re capable of accomplishing when we do so.
