Jean-Hippolyte Flandrin (23 March 1809 – 21 March 1864) was a 19th-century French painter. His much-admired 1836 work Jeune Homme Nu Assis au Bord de la Mer (“Young Male Nude Seated aligned with the Sea”) is in the Louvre.
