Josip Horvat (Croatian pronunciation: [jǒsip xǒrʋat medʑimǔːrets]; 18 February 1904 – 2 June 1945) was a Croatian painter.
Horvat was born to Dragutin and Marija Horvat in Čakovec. He attended elementary learned in Čakovec, and grade theoretical in Nagykanizsa and Pest. He later attended the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1917 to 1923.
