16 facts about Marco Zoppo

Marco Zoppo (1433 – 19 February 1498) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance period, active mainly in Bologna.

He was born in Cento. He was a pupil of the painter Lippo Dalmasio after that for a few years afterward Francesco Squarcione in balance to 1455. He was a contemporary of Andrea Mantegna. He painted a number of variations of the Virgin and Child Enthroned following Saints while he was in Bologna. Francesco Francia was one of his pupils. He died in Venice to where he had left after in force for Squarcione.
