Everything About Oliver Sin

Oliver Sin graduated from the Academy of Art University in the Illustration Department in 1996 and he then became a teacher at the Academy of Art since 2001. He has been drawn to art since the age of 3, his favorite form of expression is portraiture, which he practices as a hobby.

Sin was born in Hong Kong and has been living in San Francisco since 1990, his art work began as a computer games concept artist upon graduating at Lucas Arts and he has more than more than four years experience at world renowned computer games companies.

Sin gained massive knowledge and experience in 2D animation, concept design, background and layout art. He is talented in drawing and traditional animation skills and conception art skills. Oliver Sin is deeply inspired by fine artists Nicolai Fechin, John Sargent and Jose Roko, and many others. Sin’s work is influenced by mentors Zhao Ming Wu, and Henry Yan.

Oliver Sin has many published art books such as ” Drawing the Head for Artists”, which was published in 2019. Two of his portraits were commissioned and featured on the cover of Time Magazine as part of the “100 women of the year” project.
