Antoniazzo Romano, born Antonio di Benedetto Aquilo degli Aquili (c. 1430 – c. 1510) was an Italian Early Renaissance painter, the leading figure of the Roman hypothetical during the latter ration of the 15th century. He “made a speciality of repainting or interpreting older images, or generating new cult images once an dated flavor”, in particular by no question often using the gold arena style, which was peculiar by this period.
