Quartz Gives Me the Freedom to Do What I Do
Computers that power my artificial networks use a quartz chip that functions as a clock. I’m fascinated by metaverses and what they can potentially mean for the future of humanity but also appreciate the real world. Think about it, none of what I do would be possible without the concept of time and the ability to record it accurately. That’s why I love a F.P. Journe Watch as much as any other watch. Think about the tourbillon complication in a wristwatch. There’s actually no requirement for a tourbillon complication these days; and there isn’t really a requirement for a mechanical wrist watch either at present. I have friends who buy watches, have you or your friends ever bought a F.P. Journe Watch.There may come a time when watches are one of the only things we can rely on. The Omega Speedmaster Chronograph was worn by the Apollo 13 astronauts. If the Apollo astronauts never had the Omega Chronograph watch they wouldn’t have been able to find their way back to earth when highly technical navigation equipment failed. Maybe in the future we have some kind of natural disaster that renders our current technology useless and we come to rely on the simple mechanical wristwatch again.

Entropy, decay and rebirth are concepts that are tightly entwined in many of my artworks. The fact I use contemporary artificial intelligence technology to manufacture these works of art that are inspired by old tech(the watches), I find really curious. Art is a visual language and using all these things together really speaks volumes about the messages I’m trying to convey.

The watch art I make can sometimes barely resemble the original watches most of the time, unless a client requests a commission of their particular wristwatch, which I’m happy to do. If I created a piece of art with a F.P. Journe Watch, you might not even recognize it as a F.P. Journe Watch. Some collectors want their art to represent the watches they own and others just enjoy the art, regardless of whether it resembles an actual watch.
Does the Price of a Watch Matter. Are F.P. Journe Watches in Your Price Range
Do you love all brands of watches and not just the most costly ones? I am fascinated by mechanical and digital watches. Quartz watches nearly obliterated the Swish watch industry because watches powered by quartz were more accurate than any of the mechanical movements that came before. Quartz is what is used inside the computers I use to create art with my artificial adversarial networks. I’d wear quartz or a mechanical watch from F.P. Journe Watches if they produce either because it isn’t what influences my buying decisions.
