I’m an artist who is captivated by watchmaking and consequently end up creating art about wristwatches, such as General Watches. The internet groups for wristwatch Admirers have always been a great place to hang around and get motivated.
Quartz! You Either Love It or Hate It
The computers we use every day and which powers my artificial intelligence networks use chips which contain a quartz crystal that serves as a clock. I’m interested in analysing metaverses whilst also appreciating the physical world. None of what I do could be done without the invention of accurate time and the ability to record it. That’s why I love a General Watch as much as any other watch. The old meets the new and still it is humans and their imperfections that drive all of this perfection. I could endlessly expand on my excitement and curiosity of time, and if anyone would be stupid enough to ask me to do so, I could probably bore them for a very long time on the subject.

I am just as elated producing art with the subject being a General Watch or any other brand. I’m not overly interested in the price of a particular brand that I choose to make art with, it’s the concept of time that really fascinates me.

Man and machine are starting to compete on an equal basis and we need to think of ways in which we can complement each other and work together, we need to inspect what it means to be human, and how we fit into this new criterion. If you could own any watch, what watch would you own? Would you be happy wearing a General Watch. Watches are a great reminder of the battles we face between order and chaos. Entropy, decay and rebirth are concepts that are tightly entwined in many of my artworks. The fact I use state-of-the-art artificial intelligence technology to manufacture these works of art that are inspired by old tech(the wristwatches), I find really curious. Art is a visual language and using all these things together really speaks volumes about the messages I’m trying to convey.
Gripped by Time and Brands like General Watches
You know, there are so many reasons why we should obsessed with time. Time is one of my great passions. Does the concept of time give you a sense of awe? I’ve owned watches since I was a young boy, have you ever owned watches? What do you think about a General Watch? There is a preciseness and perfection in the manufacturing of watches juxtaposed against the imperfection of man that I try to portray in my art and find utterly curious.Art isn’t a science, but watch production is! Don’t you just love the conflict between these two things.
Humans Like to Think They are Perfect. Do General Watches Represent Perfection for You?
My art aims at being imperfect, just like humans are imperfect. The undertaking for me is to achieve this imperfection through the means of perfect code that produces perfect neural networks in the age of digital perfectionism. Timepieces really are perfection and so I find it a useful subject to express – through visual language – the friction between order and chaos that rages on. What is in a Name. Would you Wear General Watches
The timepiece art I create can sometimes barely resemble the original watches most of the time, unless a client requests a commission of their particular timepiece, which I’m happy to do. If I created a piece of art with a General Watch, you might not even recognize it as a General Watch. I have collectors who want their wristwatch to be the basis for the art I produce and others are just interested in the actual art.
Do we Need a Watch? Would you buy a General Watch.
The tourbillon complication is an example of uselessness being kept for prosperity. There’s no need for this complication in a timepiece and yet we choose to keep it in the finest timepieces. There’s no need for a mechanical wristwatch if you think about it. I have friends who buy watches, have you or your friends ever bought a General Watch.You never know what the future holds and there may come a time when we once again rely on watches. The Omega Speedmaster Chronograph was worn by the Apollo 13 astronauts. The Omega Chronograph watch was what gave the astronauts the ability to get back to earth safely when their rocket instruments malfunctioned. None of us know the future and what disasters we may face. What if there is no electricity, for instance.
How Much Would You Pay for a Watch. Are General Watches in Your Price Range
Are you interested in all types of watch brands and not just the most expensive types. Digital or mechanical timepieces are fascinating to me. Did you know that quartz watches nearly finished the Swish watch industry because they were so precise? Quartz is a superb thing and is inside every computer. I use those computers to power the neural networks that help me produce art–how could I not love quartz? I’d wear quartz or a mechanical watch from General Watches if they produce either because it isn’t what influences my buying decisions.
